At Function Forward, we love all the babies.
We provide infant-focused pediatric physical therapy and bodywork in the comfort of your home, creating a calm, familiar environment where babies thrive. No busy clinics, no long waits to get started, and no rushing through appointments. Home visits allow care to fit naturally around your baby’s routines—including naps and feeding—so sessions are relaxed, responsive, and truly baby-led. Families receive attentive, one-on-one support designed to make early movement and development feel supported, not stressful.

Developmental Support

Play-based physical therapy designed to support your baby’s gross motor milestones. We help build strength, coordination, and confidence for rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking—always meeting your baby where they are. Each visit includes parent education with easy, everyday strategies to support development at home.

Infant-Specific Concerns

Specialized physical therapy for common infant concerns such as torticollis, head turn preference, and head shape asymmetries. Care is gentle and individualized, focusing on mobility, alignment, and positioning to support smooth, symmetrical movement. The earlier the better to get started, as this may help reduce or prevent the need for a cranial helmet. Don't take a wait and see approach! A referral is NOT required to initiate services in both Kansas and Missouri.

Infant Bodywork

Create a strong foundation for comfort and movement using gentle, infant-specific bodywork. Sessions may include infant massage, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy (CST) techniques to help babies feel at ease in their bodies and ready to move and develop. Lauren is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and has received craniosacral therapy training through the Upledger Institute and myofascial release training through the John Barnes Approach.
